Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican-American sportscaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN in the role of anchor of SportsCenter news, as well as host of SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since her age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in her landing her first post as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she collaborated with producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In the following years, she was hired by the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Her move in Rio Grande Valley in 2009 in order to join the team of reporters at the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to the trafficking of drugs and immigrants at the Texas and Mexico frontier, she was employed as a reporter for news on both the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision and Fox2 News. Antonietta's parents come of Veracruz Mexico. She was born on 22nd November, 1985 at Mexico City. She also has a sister. Her family relocated in Miami in 1992 after they left Mexico. Their divorce was soon followed and in 1995 her mother remarried one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. In June of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta was a senior in high school with a plan of what she wanted her career to be, decided to visit Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. It was discovered that she was a fan of the campus, and the university offered the program she desired. When she completed her high school studies, she was accepted into the university to study media studies. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was participant in her class built a relationship that lasted for a lifetime with her. He encouraged her to be confident, and his love of journalism deeply affected her, and she, in turn, was determined to fulfill his standards and never disappoint him.
